I'm not sure if people have seen this or not yet but it's pretty cool. Each person, all over the world, is able to choose for whom they would vote if they were voting in the United States' presidential election.
Once you've voted, you can see the results of how the entire world has voted as well as the percentages of voters in each country for each candidate.
The project was started by three men in Iceland out of their curiousity about the United States' presidential election. Full details are on the site.

And what on earth is up with Venezuela? I would have thought that they'd had enough of Republicans after GW!
We ran across a similar world vote -- this time from The Economist magazine website. Obama is stomping McCain here as well.
It has a page devoted to the U.S. election called "Global Electoral College - What if the whole world could vote." The results are based on voting done through the website, where they have modified the electoral college to encompass the entire world. Obviously not a full representation of the global view since it is based on votes cast on their website, but different than what I would have expected from the folks who would be patrons of The Economist magazine.
Interesting perspective, since the magazine describes itself as follows: "The Economist is written for a global audience of senior business, political and financial decision-makers. They value The Economist for the accuracy of its incisive writing, its international outlook and lack of partisanship." My understanding is that it has historically taken an editorial stance based on free trade and globalization.

O'Kathryn - Yes, clearly the rest of the world has it together! I hope that we do as well this time. :)
Winnie in Montana - I'm glad you found it interesting. Thanks for taking time to comment.
DogWoman - I'm always fascinated by what the rest of the world thinks of us. Sometimes when you're right in the middle of something, it's helpful to have an outside perspective. Clearly, from both the site I posted and the one that you posted, the world thinks that the right choice for our president is Barack Obama.
